Redland Art Awards is a biennial contemporary painting competition open to all Australian artists, presented by Redland Art Gallery. Redland Art Awards 2016 features four prizes, totalling over $20,000. The primary award will be an acquisitive prize of $15,000. There will also be runner up awards of $4,000 and $2,500 Local Environment Award as well as The Meredith Foxton People’s Choice Award of $500.

Now celebrating its 30th year the competition is presented at the Redland Art Gallery, Cleveland. Opened in 2003, Redland Art Gallery is a vibrant cultural destination with a varied exhibition program of innovative and traditional works which Redland Art Awards is a program highlight.


Redland Art Gallery, Cleveland is located in the Redland City which lies in the heart of booming south-east Queensland, alongside Moreton Bay. North of the Redlands is Brisbane City and the Sunshine Coast while a short trip south links up with Logan City and The Gold Coast. Redland Art Gallery, Cleveland on the corner of Middle and Bloomfield Streets is 35 minutes via road from Brisbane City, the International and Domestic Airports and the Port of Brisbane.
